Selebe Yoon is pleased to participate in the opening of The Earth, The Fire, The Water, and The Winds – For a Museum of Errantry with Édouard Glissant, the first ever international exhibition presenting the Édouard Glissant Art Collection in relation with new art generations. Works by Arébénor Basséne, Mélinda Fourn and Hamedine Kane will be on view.

The exhibition Earth, Fire, Water and Winds – For a Museum of Errantry with Édouard Glissant arose from the encounter between this poetic thinking and the curatorial reflections developed at the Tomie Ohtake Institute based on the exhibition Essays for the Museum of Origins (2023). Held in partnership with Itaú Cultural, that exhibition brought together collections, practices and stories of memory based on Mario Pedrosa's proposal for a plural, critical and experimental museum. If there the question was about origins and the ways of narrating and disputing them, here wandering is the starting point: wandering as an ethical principle, as a curatorial method and as a gesture of listening to the world.

At Instituto Tomie Ohtake, São Paulo (BR).
From September 2nd 2025 (opening) through January 25th 2026.

Special program:

3 September 2025 at 2pm: Hamedine Kane in conversation with Raphael Barontini and Minia Biabiany.
