OUR RESIDENCY

Our residency program

Selebe Yoon, from its inception, has positioned itself as a space welcoming projects of research and both artistic and conceptual experimentation. Functioning as both an exhibition venue and a structure supporting production and research, we host residencies for national and international artists and curators, accompanying them in the development of projects rooted in the Senegalese context.

  • The production residency is a platform for the realization of large-scale exhibition projects and the commissioning of new works, in direct dialogue with the site, its architecture, and its history. This residency is by invitation only.

  • The research and transmission residency is open to projects grounded in the local context, whether as part of new research or in connection with past work. Its aim is to provide a framework for reflection and it concludes with a form of presentation or sharing, which remains flexible and can sometimes be immaterial. These residencies are offered either by invitation or through open calls.

  • La Boîte, Tunis

For two consecutive years, Selebe Yoon partnered with Nessij, a Tunisian association dedicated to developing and strengthening artistic exchanges for Tunisian artists. Following an open call, Selebe Yoon hosted a young artist from the Tunisian art scene in Dakar, while La Boîte hosted a young artist from the Senegalese art scene.

    Moussem, Brussels

We are partnered with Moussem, a nomadic arts centre based in Brussels, for an exchange between our residency programs, creating a connection between Senegal and Belgium and contributing to international cultural exchanges.

  • There are no open calls at the moment
