16th Dakar Biennale - Official Selection

We are pleased to announce the official selection of El Hadji Sy, Hamedine Kane, Ismaïl Bahri and Mélinda Fourn for the 16th Dakar Biennale. Titled “(Anti)Fragility: arts of repair and counter-shock strategies” and curated by Morad Montazami, the Biennale will take place from November 19 to December 19, 2026.

For Montazami, to be (anti)fragile is to adopt an attitude that transforms fragility into a strength—both expressive and artistic—by emphasizing social and communal bonds, particularly through co-creation.

We’re also delighted that Kevin Rouillard and Tabita Rezaire, both of whom have collaborated with Selebe Yoon, have been selected.
